An XRP black swan is now one of the more talked-about ideas in the market, and it comes with a number people keep repeating: $27. That’s the XRP price target one long-term holder is putting forward, and she believes the move will happen fast, almost overnight, in what she’s calling an XRP vertical move. It’s a bold XRP price prediction, and right now it’s splitting traders pretty evenly between believers and skeptics.

XRP Price Prediction, $27 Target And The Case For A Vertical Move
Where The XRP Black Swan Idea Started
The call traces back to long-term crypto holder Susan Anderson (@Susan223331), and she’s been fairly blunt about it. Anderson had this to say:
“vertical style black swan”
That’s the phrase she used to describe what she expects from XRP, an unusual one at that. She believes the move would wipe out short positions almost entirely and also flip Bitcoin’s dominance over the wider market in the process. She hasn’t attached any data to back the claim, and no further quotes from Anderson have surfaced beyond that one line, so the XRP black swan idea, for now, rests mostly on conviction rather than numbers.
The Chart Case Behind The XRP $27 Call
Analyst ChartNerd has built a more technical argument around the same XRP black swan theme. He points to a third retest of a trendline he says has shaped every major XRP move since 2017, and he counts only five pullbacks in the coin’s history that have gone past 70%, with the current one among them.
His targets run in stages, an $8 level, then $13, and then the XRP $27 figure at the top. This ladder of numbers gives the XRP $27 call its technical backing, and it also turns a fairly vague XRP price target into something people can actually track on a chart.
Mixed Reaction And What Comes Next
Traders have split pretty sharply over the XRP price prediction. Some holders say they’re fully behind it, and a few have tied the whole thing to bigger ideas about a shake-up in the financial system. Others aren’t buying it at all. Several argued the upside is closer to a few dollars, not a full XRP vertical move, and one commenter asked, fairly enough, what data actually supports the $27 number, since she hasn’t shown any.
A separate roadmap from analyst Cleo Schmidt lines up with the same bullish mood driving the XRP black swan talk. She compares the current cycle to XRP’s run between 2013 and 2017, a stretch that came before a move of more than 60,000%, and maps a path through $1.80, $3.20, and $6.50 on the way toward $13. Ripple CTO Emeritus David Schwartz has also weighed in on the broader question, stating during a live X Space that XRP overtaking Bitcoin’s market cap is, in his view, the more likely outcome of the two. Schwartz helped design the XRP Ledger, so that comment carries a bit more weight than an outsider’s guess would.
Anderson is confident in her XRP black swan call, and part of the community is right there with her. But an awful lot of holders have watched similar XRP price predictions come and go without the vertical move ever actually showing up, and that history is what’s keeping the reaction to this price target so mixed. Whether $27 ends up being realistic or not, the XRP black swan conversation isn’t going away anytime soon.
